Fire Weather Threats out West; Wintry Weather Upper Midwest to the Middle Atlantic
High pressure in the west continues to send weather systems into the Great Basin, and this is keeping fire weather threats elevated to critical across southern California. A series of weather systems will bring widespread snow from the Upper Midwest to the Middle Atlantic and Northeast, with heavier snow amounts in lake effect snow bands near the Great Lakes.
