Hot temperatures and critical fire weather conditions for portions of California; Flash Flood threat for parts of Texas

Critical fire weather conditions and unseasonably hot temperatures will be prevalent across parts of southern California early this week. Any fires that start in this area could quickly grow out of control; Red Flag Warnings and Heat Advisories are in effect. Meanwhile, heavy rain is forecast in parts of Texas through early Monday.
