Tropical Depression Forecast to Impact the Southeast U.S. This Weekend; May Strengthen into a Tropical Storm

Tropical Depression Two is forecast to strengthen into a Tropical Storm on Saturday. This system will bring heavy rain and gusty winds to portions of the southeastern United States. Life-threatening surf and rip currents will threaten the coastal waters this holiday weekend. Isolated flash flooding will be possible in portions of the Carolinas and Virginia Saturday.
