Severe Thunderstorms Possible in Parts of the Eastern and Central U.S. Today. Some Storms May Bring Heavy Rain and Flash Flooding in the Central U.S.

Severe thunderstorms will be possible over portions of the eastern United States, from new England to the Mid-Atlantic, today. Severe thunderstorms are also possible over portions of the Central Plains, mainly Kansas and eastern Colorado. Heavy rain associated with some of the storms in the Plains may cause flash flooding.
