A slow-moving weather system in the eastern U.S. will focus showers and thunderstorms from the mid-Mississippi River Valley to the Mid-Atlantic on Thursday. Abundant moisture will allow occasionally heavy rainfall. Flash Flood Watches are in effect in these areas.
