Strong to severe thunderstorms with heavy rain to continue across the central and southern Plains

Periods of strong to severe thunderstorms will continue across a wide area of the central to southern Plains through Friday. Locally heavy rain can be expected over saturated ground, with areas of flooding and flash flooding. A few of the storms will also produce hail and strong gusty winds, with an isolated tornado or two possible.

Synopsis: A PREDOMINATE WEAK TO MODERATE ONSHORE FLOW WILL OCCUR THIS AFTERNOON AND CONTINUE TONIGHT. ONSHORE FLOW WILL DECREASE SATURDAY THROUGH SUNDAY AS A FRONTAL BOUNDARY APPROACHES SOUTH TEXAS AND THEN STALLS. THE FRONT WILL INCREASE THE CHANCE FOR SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY OVER THE WATERS SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. THE CHANCE FOR RAIN WILL DECREASE MONDAY AS THE FRONT DISSIPATES. ONSHORE FLOW WILL INCREASE BY LATE TUESDAY AS UPPER DISTURBANCES MOVE ACROSS THE ROCKIES.
