Severe Weather Possible Across Northeast and Southern Plains, Including Moderate Risk for Parts of Northwest Texas

The NWS Storm Prediction Center is forecasting a Moderate Risk of severe thunderstorms for Thursday afternoon and evening across a small portion of northwest Texas. Supercell storms are forecast to develop in this area, which could result in very large hail and a few tornadoes. A Slight Risk of severe thunderstorms exists for portions of Texas and Oklahoma, as well as parts of the Northeast U.S.

Tonight Showers and thunderstorms likely before 3am, then scattered showers. Cloudy, with a low around 48. Northwest wind 10 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
