Significant winter storm to bring heavy snow and ice from the Plains to the upper Midwest, Great Lakes and New England

A strong low pressure system will bring heavy snow, ice, and strong winds from the Plains to the upper Midwest, and western Great Lakes through tonight. Treacherous travel conditions are expected.
