Heavy rain and severe weather will exacerbate ongoing flooding in the central and southern U.S.

Additional heavy rain will increase the threat of flooding in the central and southern U.S. this weekend. There is a High Risk of excessive rainfall for parts of ArkLaTex, as well as the Mid-Mississippi and Lower Ohio River Valleys on Saturday. Saturday Night: Snow, mainly after 10pm. The snow could be heavy at times. Low around 25. West wind 10 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 7 to 11 inches possible.

Sunday: Snow. The snow could be heavy at times. High near 27. West wind 10 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 10 to 14 inches possible.

Sunday Night: Snow showers likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 16. West wind 8 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
