Severe Weather Threat Will Continue Sunday Across Much of the Central U.S.

Another round of severe thunderstorms is forecast for parts of the central U.S. today into tonight. The area of greatest risk extends from central Okla. into eastern Kan., western Mo. and southeast Neb. where very large hail and a few strong tornadoes are possible. This Afternoon Snow showers. Some thunder is also possible. High near 36. North northwest wind around 18 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.

Tonight Snow showers. Some thunder is also possible. Low around 28. North wind 16 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Monday Snow showers. Some thunder is also possible. High near 42. North wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Monday Night A 50 percent chance of snow showers, mainly before midnight. Some thunder is also possible. Partly cloudy, with a low around 30. North wind 5 to 7 mph becoming west after midnight. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Tuesday A slight chance of rain and snow showers after noon. Some thunder is also possible. Mostly sunny, with a high near 53. South southwest wind 5 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
