Heavy rain and isolated severe storms in portions of the West

A storm system will bring rain and thunderstorms to much of the Intermountain West and northern High Plains on Friday. Isolated severe thunderstorms with large hail and damaging winds are possible from northeast California to Wyoming. Heavy rain could lead to flash flooding, especially in the mountains of Wyoming.
