SEAS ARE PROVIDED AS A RANGE OF SIGNIFICANT WAVE HEIGHTS...WHICH IS THE AVERAGE HEIGHT OF THE HIGHEST 1/3 OF THE WAVES...ALONG WITH THE OCCASIONAL HEIGHT OF THE AVERAGE HIGHEST 10 PERCENT OF THE WAVES.

Synopsis...STRONG HIGH PRESSURE WILL BUILD OVER THE SOUTHEAST U.S. THIS WEEKEND WHICH WILL TIGHTEN THE PRESSURE GRADIENT ACROSS THE SOUTH FLORIDA WATERS. THIS WILL RESULT IN INCREASING NORTHEAST WINDS THROUGH THE WEEKEND INTO NEXT WEEK.

THE APPROXIMATE LOCATION OF THE WEST WALL OF THE GULF STREAM AS OF MAY 24, 2013 AT 1200 UTC...

7 NAUTICAL MILES EAST OF FOWEY ROCKS. 9 NAUTICAL MILES EAST OF PORT EVERGLADES. 4 NAUTICAL MILES EAST NORTHEAST OF LAKE WORTH. 5 NAUTICAL MILES EAST NORTHEAST OF JUPITER INLET.

Today: Northeast winds 14 to 19 knots. Seas 3 to 5 feet with occasional seas up to 6 feet. Dominant period 5 seconds. Intracoastal waters choppy in exposed areas. Isolated thunderstorms...then isolated showers late.

Tonight: East northeast winds 14 to 19 knots. Seas 3 to 5 feet with occasional seas up to 6 feet. Dominant period 5 seconds. Intracoastal waters choppy in exposed areas.

Sunday: East northeast winds 14 to 19 knots. Seas 3 to 5 feet with occasional seas up to 6 feet. Dominant period 5 seconds. Intracoastal waters choppy in exposed areas.

Sunday Night: East northeast winds 14 to 19 knots along the coast to east northeast 16 to 21 knots in the gulf stream. Seas 3 to 5 feet with occasional seas up to 6 feet. Dominant period 5 seconds. Intracoastal waters choppy in exposed areas. Slight chance of showers.

Monday: East northeast winds 14 to 19 knots. Seas 3 to 5 feet with occasional seas up to 6 feet. Intracoastal waters choppy in exposed areas. Slight chance of thunderstorms.

Monday Night Through Wednesday: East winds 16 to 21 knots. Seas 3 to 5 feet with occasional seas up to 6 feet. Intracoastal waters choppy in exposed areas. Chance of showers and slight chance of thunderstorms.
