Severe weather and flash flooding will be possible again on Thursday

Severe weather will be possible Thursday from the southern Plains to the southern Appalachians. Damaging winds and large hail are the primary threats. In addition, heavy rainfall could lead to flash flooding across portions of the Tennessee and Ohio Valleys.

Synopsis: AT 1 PM PDT...A 1008 MB LOW WAS NEAR LAS VEGAS AND A 1015 MB HIGH WAS 65 NM NORTHWEST OF POINT CONCEPTION. SOME LIGHT SHOWERS OR POSSIBLY ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS MAY FORM THROUGH EARLY EVENING AS A DISTURBANCE MOVES THROUGH THE REGION...WITH ONLY A SLIGHT CHANCE OF SHOWERS OVERNIGHT INTO THURSDAY MORNING. WEAK TO MODERATE ONSHORE FLOW WILL CONTINUE THROUGH MONDAY...WITH 20 KT GUSTS POSSIBLE IN THE OUTER WATERS NEAR SAN CLEMENTE ISLAND DURING THE AFTERNOONS AND EVENINGS.
