Red Flag Warnings Issued For Parts Of The Western U.S On Wednesday; Severe Weather Threat In The Northern Plains and Northern Rockies

Parts of the Western United States is under a Red Flag Warning for Wednesday with another day of hot, dry and windy conditions expected. In the Northern Plains and Northern Rocky Mountains severe weather is expected. The area of greatest concern is Montana which could see very large hail and damaging winds.

STRONG NW FLOW WILL CONTINUE OVER THE OUTER WATERS THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT. FOR THE INNER WATERS...ONSHORE FLOW WITH STRONGER GUSTS IN THE WESTERN SANTA BARBARA CHANNEL.

Overnight: NW wind around 35 kt, with gusts as high as 50 kt. Clear. W swell 9 ft at 0 seconds. Wind waves 1 ft or less.

Wednesday: NW wind around 35 kt, with gusts as high as 50 kt. Increasing clouds. . Wind waves 1 ft or less.

Wednesday Night: NNW wind 30 to 35 kt, with gusts as high as 50 kt. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming clear. . Wind waves 1 ft or less.

Thursday: NW wind 25 to 30 kt, with gusts as high as 40 kt. Sunny. . Wind waves 1 ft or less.
