Severe thunderstorms and heavy rain for portions of the southern U.S.

A storm system in the Ohio Valley will produce scattered severe thunderstorms and locally heavy rain stretching from the Southern Plains eastward through the Gulf Coast and Southeast on Thursday. Large hail and locally damaging winds will be the main threats. This activity will continue into Friday.
