Severe weather and flash flooding possible Wednesday across portions of the Mississippi and Tennessee Valleys

Strong to severe storms are expected to develop across portions of the Mid-Mississippi Valley on Wednesday. A Slight Risk has been highlighted to indicate the area most likely to see supercell activity. Heavy rainfall from the Mid-Mississippi Valley into the Tennessee Valley could lead to flash flooding. Some areas could see as much as 3 inches of rainfall.
