Dangerous Winter Storm over the Northern Plains, Heavy Lake Effect Snow Likely for Western New York

Blizzard conditions are expected to persist over portions of the northern Plains through midday Wednesday. Strong winds and very cold temperatures will also yield sub-zero wind chill readings and blowing snow. Further east, Lake Effect Snow Warnings are in effect for portions of western New York.
