Severe weather possible for parts of eastern, north-central and southwestern U.S.

The NWS Storm Prediction Center is forecasting a risk of severe thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon across a large portion of the eastern U.S. from the Mid-Atlantic & Ohio Valley into the Deep South. Severe thunderstorms are also possible across parts of the northern Plains & southern Ariz. Damaging wind gusts & large hail will be the main threats with severe thunderstorms that develop in these areas.
