Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible Saturday from southwestern Texas to northern Maine. Primary threats will be damaging wind gusts with marginally severe hail also possible. In addition, moderate to heavy rainfall could produce flash flooding from the lower Mississippi Valley into the Ohio Valley.

Synopsis: HIGH PRESSURE WILL REMAIN OVER THE WESTERN ATLANTIC THROUGH THIS EVENING. A COLD FRONT WILL APPROACH TONIGHT AND MOVE NEAR THE REGION ON SUNDAY...STALLING IN THE VICINITY SUNDAY NIGHT. THE FRONT LIFTS BACK NORTH ON MONDAY AS A WAVE OF LOW PRESSURE MOVES ACROSS THE AREA MONDAY NIGHT INTO TUESDAY MORNING. HIGH PRESSURE WILL THEN BUILD IN FROM THE NORTH LATE TUESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY.
