Severe weather threat increases this afternoon across parts of the southern Plains

The threat of severe weather is increasing for this afternoon across a large portion of Oklahoma and Texas. The greatest threat is forecast for parts of central and northern Texas where Enhanced and Moderate Risks are in place. Very large hail, damaging winds and tornadoes, some possibly strong, are all possible. Those in this region are encouraged to remain weather-aware.
