Hard freeze likely over the Deep South, inclement pattern expected over the west coast of the U.S. through the weekend

Very cold temperatures are likely to continue over the Deep South and Southeast U.S. into Thursday. A series of low pressure systems will bring abundant moisture to much of northern California and into the Pacific Northwest through the upcoming weekend.
