Severe thunderstorms likely across parts of central Plains and lower Miss. Valley

The NWS Storm Prediction Center is forecasting a risk of severe thunderstorms Friday afternoon and evening from the central Plains to the Gulf Coast, with an Enhanced Risk across central and eastern Kan., as well as from central Texas across southeastern Okla. and into southern Ark. and northern La. Supercell thunderstorms capable of large hail, damaging winds, and a couple tornadoes are possible.
