...Gusty showers will impact portions of Hancock, east central
Monroe, northwestern Glascock, Taliaferro, Jones, northern
Wilkinson, Baldwin, Warren, southeastern Morgan, Putnam, central
Greene, northwestern Washington and southeastern Jasper Counties
through 1045 AM EDT...
At 1010 AM EDT, a line of gusty showers was along a line extending
from Buckhead to near Hillsboro to Plant Scherer, and moving east at
75 mph.
HAZARD...40 mph wind and heavy rain.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of
light, unsecured objects. Heavy rain may cause temporary
street flooding especially in poor drainage areas.
Locations impacted include...
Milledgeville, Eatonton, Greensboro, Gray, Warrenton, Sparta,
Crawfordville, Gordon, Union Point, Ivey, McIntyre, White Plains,
Siloam, Norwood, Mitchell, Buckhead, Sharon, Camak, Deepstep, and
Reynolds at Lake Oconee.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. Motorists should
slow down and be prepared for possible loss of control due to
hydroplaning.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 200 PM EDT for
central, north central and east central Georgia.
