...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT EAST CENTRAL SAN MIGUEL...
SOUTHEASTERN HARDING AND NORTHEASTERN QUAY COUNTIES THROUGH 615 PM
MDT...

At 511 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 11 miles southwest of Nara
Visa to 6 miles northeast of Tucumcari. Movement was east at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Nara Visa, Logan, and Ute Lake State Park.

This includes State Road 104 between Mile Markers 99 and 104.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If threatening weather approaches your area, take shelter in a sturdy
building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor your preferred
media outlets and NOAA Weather Radio for additional information and
possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM MDT for
northeastern and east central New Mexico.
