At 1016 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Cannon Air Force Base, or 11 miles southwest of Clovis, moving south at 10 mph. HAZARD...Tornado and two inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. Locations impacted include... Clovis, Saint Vrain, Cannon Air Force Base, Ranchvale, and Portair.
