882 FNUS53 KABR 010245 FWFABR Fire Weather Forecast For Central/NE South Dakota WC MN National Weather Service Aberdeen SD 944 PM CDT Fri May 31 2024 .DISCUSSION... General showers are expected into the evening hours before conditions dry out for the overnight and through much of the day Saturday. Minimum relative humidity Saturday will remain above the 30-40% range. Light winds through the day will gradually return from the south. There is the possibility of thunderstorms sneaking into south central South Dakota by late Saturday afternoon and then expanding eastward into parts of eastern South Dakota and west central Minnesota through the overnight hours. An isolated severe storm is possible, but the overall threat is low. Sunday, southerly winds will transport moisture into the region and a frontal boundary will likely be the focus for thunderstorm development. There is a slight risk (2 on scale of 5) of severe storms across the region. All hazards are possible (wind, hail and tornadoes).
