There is a 30-60 percent chance for showers and sub-severe storms today with highest chances over eastern SD and western MN in the late morning to early afternoon hours. Most locations will receive less than a tenth of an inch of precipitation. Winds will increase out of the west-northwest during the day Wednesday with gusts of 40 to 50 mph possible. The strongest gusts are expected over central SD. Afternoon RH values are expected to drop below 30 percent west of the James River. This will also be the case Thursday, with slightly weaker winds.
