.DISCUSSION...

More showers and thunderstorms remain in the forecast for the
remainder of the Memorial Day holiday weekend. A 30-60 percent
chances for showers and storms will be possible today, mainly by
late morning through late afternoon across the Missouri Valley and
then by late afternoon and evening in the James Valley and points
east. Showers and storms will be more scattered on Monday and Monday
night, mainly east of the Missouri Valley.

...LOW FIRE DANGER...

Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture content of grasses,
and other dry organic material on the ground, indicate that the
probability of a fast moving fire is low.  Outdoor burning under
these conditions can usually be performed with reasonable safety
precautions, but should be monitored.


The outlook for Memorial Day afternoon...The grassland fire danger
index will reach the low category.
