...LINE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS JUNEAU AND AUKE BAY
AREAS THROUGH 215 PM AKDT...

At 114 PM AKDT, Satellite imagery and webcams indicated a line of
showers and thunderstorms along a line extending from 8 miles north
of Grand Island to 7 miles south of Douglas. Movement was northwest
at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Lightning and wind gusts up to 40 mph possible.

SOURCE...Satellite indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Downtown Juneau, Douglas, Auke Bay, Eaglecrest, Mendenhall Glacier
Visitor Center, and Lemon Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Lightning is possible with these storms.  Lightning can strike 10
miles away from a thunderstorm. If you hear thunder, seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
