The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  James River from James River Bridge to Hampton Roads
  Bridge-Tunnel...
  James River from Jamestown to the James River Bridge...
  York River...

* Until 630 PM EDT.

* At 516 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing
  waterspouts was located 10 nm southwest of Burwell Bay, moving
  northeast at 20 knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts to nearly 50 knots, small hail, with
           waterspouts also possible.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

* The severe thunderstorm will be near...
  Burwell Bay around 530 PM EDT.
  James River Bridge around 540 PM EDT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT for eastern and
southeastern Virginia.
