...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN ISLE OF WIGHT AND
EAST CENTRAL SURRY COUNTIES AND THE CENTRAL CITY OF NEWPORT NEWS
THROUGH 345 PM EDT...

At 311 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Fort Eustis, or 7 miles north of Smithfield. This thunderstorm was
nearly stationary.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Newport News, Smithfield, Christopher Newport University, Rescue,
Denbigh, Beaconsdale, Fort Eustis, Rushmere, Chippokes State Park,
Hilton Village, Lawson, Bacons Castle, Poolesville, Moonlight, Oyster
Point, Hog Island Game Reserve, Alliance, Mogarts Beach, Menchville,
and Bethel Church.
