...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT FULTON...SOUTHEASTERN HERKIMER
AND WESTERN MONTGOMERY COUNTIES THROUGH 415 PM EDT...

At 341 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles northeast of Springfield, or 9 miles south of Little Falls,
moving northeast at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Little Falls, Canajoharie, Fort Plain, Dolgeville, St. Johnsville,
Ephratah, Stratford, Ames, Caroga Lake, Caroga Lake Public
Campground, Oppenheim, Warren, Palatine Bridge, Nelliston, Bleecker,
Ingham Mills, Meco, Mindenville, Shedd Corners, and Ripple Corners.

This includes Interstate 90 between exits 29 and 29A.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for
eastern New York.
