...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHERN WINDHAM COUNTY THROUGH
430 PM EDT...

At 402 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Wilmington, or 12 miles south of Stratton, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Brattleboro, Wilmington, Guilford Center, Guilford, Marlboro,
Jacksonville, South Newfane, Fairview Village, Williamsville, East
Dover, Four Corners, Dummerston Center, Green River, Williamsville
Station, West Halifax, Whitneyville, West Dummerston, Medburyville,
Harrisville, and Brookside.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
