...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT WESTERN RANDALL...SOUTHEASTERN
OLDHAM...NORTHWESTERN CARSON...NORTHEASTERN DEAF SMITH AND POTTER
COUNTIES THROUGH 600 AM CDT...

At 512 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 7 miles east of Valley De Oro to 3 miles
southwest of Wildorado to 10 miles northwest of Dawn. Movement was
east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Amarillo, Canyon, Vega, Mescalero Park, Buffalo Lake, Bushland, Dawn,
Valley De Oro, Umbarger, and Wildorado.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 27 between mile markers 107 and 123.
 Interstate 40 between mile markers 33 and 74.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
