...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHERN WHEELER COUNTY THROUGH
630 AM CDT...

At 602 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 4
miles west of Twitty, or 8 miles northwest of Shamrock, moving
northeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Wheeler, Twitty, and Lela.

This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 148 and 162.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
