.A persistent line of thunderstorms will continue across the area
for the next couple of hours. Some ponding of water and minor
flooding on the roads and in low lying areas are likely.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CDT TODAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of central Alabama, including the following
  county, Marengo.

* WHEN...Until noon CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 901 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in continued
    minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Linden, Thomaston, Sweet Water, Myrtlewood, Miller, Wayne,
    Dixons Mill, Surginer, Magnolia, Freddie Jones Field,
    Shawnee, Vineland, Nanafalia, Putnam, Consul, Octagon,
    Calvary, Half Acre, Clayhill and Nicholsville.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
