...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHERN MARION COUNTY THROUGH
215 AM CDT...

At 148 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Weston, or 9 miles northwest of Hamilton, moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Hamilton, Hackleburg, Weston, Bear Creek, Tessner, Bexar, Pigeye,
Shottsville, and Upper Bear Creek Reservoir.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 AM CDT for northwestern
Alabama.
