...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN TUSCALOOSA AND
SOUTHERN FAYETTE COUNTIES THROUGH 400 PM CDT...

At 303 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles northwest of Samantha, or 14 miles northeast of Gordo, moving
east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Berry, Boley Springs, Bankhead Lock And Dam, Samantha, Binion Creek
Landing, Stone Wall, Whitson, Wiley, Moores Bridge, Windham Springs,
New Lexington, and Lake Tuscaloosa.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
