.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...Slightly cooler temperatures are
expected on the plains today with higher humidities. Little change
is expected in the mountains. Areas from the Front Range eastward
will have scattered late afternoon and evening thunderstorms.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Friday through Monday...
Scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms are expected Friday,
with localized wetting rain under heavier cores, most likely for the
plains.
It will turn drier and warmer Saturday, with significantly
warmer and drier conditions for Sunday into early next week. The
chance for precipitation will be low to near zero most days starting
Sunday. Sunday is also expected to be breezy with winds to 35 mph
over the higher terrain and to 25 mph across the plains. Minimum
humidity readings will drop into the 10 to 15 percent range in
elevations below 7500 feet, with 15 to 20 percent readings over the
higher elevations.
