Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southern New England
National Weather Service Boston/Norton MA
408 PM EDT Wed May 22 2024

.DISCUSSION...

High pressure to our south will remain in place tonight into
early on Thursday. A cold front then moves through Southern New
England during the afternoon to evening, bringing increasing
chances of showers and thunderstorms. Some storms could become
strong and produce gusty winds and localized downpours.

Minimum relative humidities on Thursday to range between 45 and
70 percent.

.OUTLOOK...Friday through Tuesday...

A weak high builds in on Friday, which will bring dry weather.
Turning unsettled over the weekend into early next week. No
washouts are anticipated over the weekend, but we have a shot for
more widespread rains early next week.
