...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN HIDALGO AND
SOUTHEASTERN STARR COUNTIES THROUGH 845 PM CDT...

At 809 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 11 miles southwest of La Grulla to 30 miles
south of Los Ebanos. Movement was east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Mission, Hidalgo, Palmview, Penitas, Sullivan City, La Joya,
Palmhurst, Los Ebanos, Sharyland, and South McAllen.

This includes US Highway 83 between mile markers 834 and 850.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in Brownsville.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for
Deep South Texas.
