Zapata County in Deep South Texas... * Until 1030 PM CDT. * At 948 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 9 miles south of El Cenizo, or 10 miles north of San Ygnacio, moving southeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Zapata, San Ygnacio, Bustamante, Medina, Zapata High School, Zapata County Fire Department, Escobas, Zapata Middle School, Siesta Shores, and Zapata County Public Library.
