...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN FRANKLIN AND
NORTHEASTERN ST. LAWRENCE COUNTIES THROUGH 400 AM EDT...

At 258 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Colton, moving northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Potsdam, Canton, Norfolk, Moira, Parishville, Fort Covington, Colton,
Bombay, Morley, Helena, Madrid, Brushton, Lawrenceville, Norwood,
Hermon, Brasher Falls, St. Regis, Lake Ozonia, Dickinson, and
Pierrepont.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
