A strong spring storm system will bring heavy mountain snow and occasionally heavy lower elevation rain today. Rainfall amounts of 0.75 to 1.5 inches, with a few locations approaching 2 inches, can be expected today and tonight. For elevations above 5500 feet, expect accumulating snow, with upwards of 1-2 feet above 7000 feet. After brief drying Friday, another storm system will bring additiona rain/mountain snow (albeit lighter) Saturday afternoon through Monday morning.
