At 727 PM EDT, trained weather spotters reported strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Sumter County Airport to near Alcolu. Movement was northeast at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Trained weather spotters. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Sumter, Elliott, Mulberry, Mayesville, Lynchburg, Oswego, East Sumter, St. Charles, Gable, and Brogdon. This includes Interstate 95 between mile markers 126 and 138. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
