The National Weather Service in Corpus Christi has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Waters from Baffin Bay to Port Aransas from 20 to 60 NM...
  Waters from Port Aransas to Matagorda Ship Channel from 20 to 60
  NM...

* Until 1015 AM CDT.

* At 812 AM CDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from near Brazos 439 to near Matagorda Island 557 to 18
  nm northwest of Seadrift, moving south at 60 knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots.

  SOURCE...Port Lavaca ASOS.

  IMPACT...Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots, suddenly higher
           waves, frequent lightning, and heavy downpours. Make sure
           all on board are wearing life jackets.

* Strong thunderstorms will remain over mainly open waters.
