Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
459 AM EDT Sat May 25 2024

Patchy fog this morning will burn away quickly. Mostly sunny skies
then rule for the morning. Showers and thunderstorms will move in
from the northwest late this morning. Additional storms will fire
up across the state while the storms from the northwest move
south and east. This will make multiple times through the
afternoon and early tonight for rain to fall in any location. Some
of the storms today will make heavy rain, gusty winds, and hail,
especially in the western half of the state. Temperatures will
continue to be unseasonably warm with highs in the upper 70s to
mid 80s.

The showers and storms will push to the south as they dissipate
early tonight. The sky will start to clear out behind the showers
and lead to fog forming. Lows tonight will be 55 to 60 degrees in
the north and west, and 60 to 65 in the south and east.

Much of Sunday across the state will be dry and continued warmer
than normal. However, some showers and thunderstorms will pop up
in the afternoon, mainly in the southern part of the state as well
as the Poconos. Expect highs again in the upper 70s to mid 80s.

Numerous showers and thunderstorms will make Memorial Day at wet
one for most of PA. Some of the storms will make damaging wind
gusts and hail. Heavy rain is also a threat, especially for
eastern PA Monday into Monday night. Morning lows will be 60 to 65
while afternoon highs will be mostly in the 70s. A few southern
towns will get to 80 degrees.
