Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
559 AM EDT Tue May 21 2024

A surge of summerlike warmth and humidity will build over the
Keystone State through midweek. Daytime high temperatures will
peak between 80 and 90 degrees Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon or
10 to 15 degrees above normal for late May.

The building warmth and noticeably higher humidity will fuel a
marginal to slight risk of severe thunderstorms Wednesday
afternoon and evening. Isolated strong to locally damaging wind
gusts are the primary threat focused across the northwestern half
of the Commonwealth. Showers and thunderstorms will continue into
Thursday with a marginal severe weather threat shifting into far
southeastern Pennsylvania.

Temperatures and humidity levels will trend seasonably lower into
the holiday weekend. While not expected to be a washout, the
precipitation pattern will remain somewhat unsettled with at
least a chance of rain in most places through Memorial Day.
