...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT WESTERN SOMERSET COUNTY THROUGH
615 PM EDT...

At 510 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 14 miles east of Connellsville to near Somerset
to 13 miles north of Bittinger. Movement was northeast at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Somerset, Ursina, New Centerville, Mount Davis, Rockwood, Confluence,
Garrett, Casselman, Seven Springs, and Laurel Mountain State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

Persons in campgrounds should consider seeking sturdy shelter until
these storms pass.
