* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Bedford County in south central Pennsylvania...
  Southwestern Blair County in central Pennsylvania...
  Cambria County in central Pennsylvania...
  Western Fulton County in south central Pennsylvania...
  Eastern Somerset County in south central Pennsylvania...

* Until 945 PM EDT.

* At 850 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from near Ligonier to Somerset to Frostburg to near
  Meyersdale to Lonaconing to near Keyser, moving northeast at 50
  mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Altoona, Johnstown, Hollidaysburg, Westmont, Windber, Ebensburg,
  Bedford, Belmont, Nanty-Glo, Portage, Breezewood, and Northern
  Cambria.

Radar has indicated several areas of rotation within the line of
severe thunderstorms. Although a tornado is not immediately likely,
brief tornadoes can develop quickly within severe thunderstorms
occurring in the current environment with relatively strong vertical
wind shear.

This includes the following Interstates...
 Interstate 70 from mile markers 147 to 169.
 The Pennsylvania Turnpike from mile markers 121 to 167.
 Interstate 99 from mile markers 0 to 31.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay inside a well built structure and keep away from windows.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these severe
thunderstorms. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of
nature`s leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are
close enough to be struck by lightning.

If on or near an area lake, get away from the water and move indoors
or inside a vehicle.

Very heavy rainfall is occurring with these severe thunderstorms,
and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through
flooded roadways.
